Backtrack Vocals

A New York-based a cappella group that specializes in a range of genres. The group takes the stage around the nation at performing arts centers, corporate events, music festivals, schools, and more!

A Cappella Central was created to give singers the opportunity to grow in the art of a cappella singing within a positive, inclusive, and inspiring environment. What began as a summer camp has grown into a year-round program where students can continue developing their voices, musicianship, and confidence throughout the seasons.

We believe that every student who loves to sing deserves a place here. Our programs are welcoming and non-competitive, designed to support each singer at their own level while still encouraging meaningful musical growth. Students often find that they not only improve quickly, but also form lasting friendships and a strong sense of belonging within their ensemble.

Throughout the year, students explore a variety of musical styles and themes, from contemporary a cappella and pop to Broadway and collaborative performance projects, keeping the experience fresh, engaging, and creatively inspiring.

Our talented coaches from across Fairfield County guide students in developing vocal technique, music reading skills, beatboxing, choreography, and stage presence. In addition to weekly rehearsals, students have opportunities to participate in specialized masterclasses focused on topics such as vocal technique, performance confidence, solo work, audition preparation, and ensemble skills.

To support different ages and experience levels, students are placed in thoughtfully designed ensembles, each with its own repertoire and rehearsal structure. Advanced students have additional opportunities to prepare for high school and college auditions, working closely with faculty to develop strong, polished auditions and a clear artistic identity.

Each program culminates in a final performance where students share their work with family, friends, and the community, celebrating both their musical growth and the connections they have built along the way.
